Our Values

In addition to core Curtin University Values of Respect, Integrity, Courage, Excellence and Impact, our research is guided by clear values that shape how we work, who we work with, and how we ask questions that inform our research.

Humble: We listen deeply, value lived experience, and recognise that women, families, and communities are experts in their own lives.

Hungry: We are curious, motivated, and driven to ask better questions and pursue meaningful change in women’s health.

Brave: We challenge the status quo, address inequities, and are willing to lead difficult but necessary conversations.

Our Goals

To improve women’s health through equity driven, co-designed research that translates evidence into meaningful practice, policy, and systems change.

  • We work in genuine partnership with women, families, clinicians, and communities - amplifying lived experience and expertise, and acting as a conduit between research and action.

  • We pursue excellence with purpose, using research as a justice making tool to improve fairness, access, and outcomes in women’s health.

  • We generate and translate evidence that challenges the status quo, influences practice and policy, and drives system level change

With Lab acknowledges the traditional custodians of the lands on which we live and work. We pay our respects to Elders past, present, and emerging and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
